SONG NEWS

. ‘Early In The Morning’ returns to venues. The Studio Special Vanity Fare ‘60s tempo ballad will be returned to live venues.

. ‘Never Knew Love Like This Before’ will be returned to STTW track version. The 1979 Stephanie Mills song will be on Studio Gold reserve and will return to STTW due to issues with articulation on Zoom track.

. ‘What I’ve Got In Mind’ will be available for relaunch to venues. This 1976 Billie-Jo Spears country song will be relaunched using a ZOOM track to replace the original Protrax to any venue wishing to take the song. The song is currently in the Artist’s Choice set.

BREAKING NEWS.

. Rules on ‘Foreign’ tracks amended. The rules on the use of track versions at venus other than the ones used in the studio are being amended to now requre the track to be assessed for suitability prior to use. this would mean that the track would have the same status as a Studio track and would be safe to use. Each track will be assessed individually and provided it can be used succesfully, the song can then be sung using this version at all future visits.

GENERAL EMERGENCY UPDATE.

there is now increased song capacity on all Studio sets.

Weekday sets are up to 8 songs per set.

Saturday LIVE Set, up to 10.

Songs rotated from previous weeks set are stilll available for use atv venues provided there are no technical issue.

THIS WILL REMAIN FOR THE DURATION OF THE GENERAL EMERGENCY UNDER WHICH DURISTICTION THE DEVONTONIA STUDIO FALLS.

RULE CHANGE FOR VENUES.

From OCTOBER 9TH 2025, the Duplicate Artist rule originally put in place in 2005 to avoid tyecasting will be abolished as it is now seen as being too restrictive in todays world. This means that ANY number of songs by the same original artist can be performed at the same venue on the same night.
